At Aspen log homes we build every one of our log homes with all the skill and dedication that we know you want in your dream home. We were finishing a home in Rigeway, Colorado. This is an area of very expensive homes. The county inspector told our superintendent, that this particular home had the highest quality build that he has inspected since he has been an Ouray county inspector. This is why we bring our own craftsman to every build. This is why it should be important to you.

Once your design is finished and approved we start transforming those plans into a livable handcrafted log or timber home.

One of our crews may go to your site to commence the site work, get the local permits and construct the foundations so that the site will be ready for the erection of your log home as soon it arrives. Another will be at work in our yards in Canada selecting the logs and transforming them into the finished log shell.

We start by selecting and hand peeling logs specially selected for log homes. These logs are then hand cut, notched and fitted to match your plans by our experienced craftsmen and then the actual shell is completely assembled and fitted with each piece marked for its location. These crews can only be described as craftsmen, and all have years of log home experience.

After the stacking is competed and inspected, it is carefully disassembled and loaded for transport to your site. This pre-stacking process ensures that the material which arrives at your site is complete but with no excess, and ready fitted so that it can be restacked on your foundations in as little as three to five days.

As a turnkey contractor, our staff will have in the meantime purchased and shipped to your site the myriad of materials and equipment that go into making your log home and ensure that everything is at the site when its needed, not too early so that it sits around in the weather and not too late which can cause delays. We have specialists to oversee all the specialty trades like wiring, plumbing, roofing, painting and installation of equipment. Our years of experience and familiarity with many different products and manufacturers means that you will get the most suitable products at the best prices.
