Framing Estimates
Framing materials are those items which are not log or timber. Typically they will be concealed dimensional (2X4 & 2X6), in-wall beams, glue-laminated beams and other manufactured and milled structural items.
Plywood sheathing of all types is also considered part of your framing material. This includes siding, floor plywood, roof sheathing and structural "shear" ply.

Interior wall framing material generally runs around $5.00 per sq. ft. of floor area for a combination of 2x4 and 2x6 walls. This cost can be considerably higher if your home has many vaulted ceiling or a very complex layout.
These costs and prices are not quotes. They are simply cost benchmarks developed over time through experience and the use of national averages. These values are adequate for determining initial budgets and project feasibility. All prices must ultimately be validated using final plans by your realtor, suppliers, builder and contractor(s).
